M4V to MP3 Tool
About The M4V Format
M4V is Apple’s version of the MP4 video format. It became popular through iTunes, where people downloaded movies and TV shows in this format. Some M4V files are locked with Apple’s DRM protection, but many are not and can play on non Apple devices. Because it’s so close to MP4, most players and converters can handle M4V without any trouble.
About The MP3 Format
MP3, which stands for MPEG-1 (or MPEG-2) Audio Layer III, was developed in the early 1990s by the Fraunhofer Institute in Germany. It uses lossy compression, meaning that parts of the audio are removed to shrink file sizes, but keeping enough detail to where it will sound clear to most listeners. MP3 supports both constant and variable bitrates, ranging up to 320 kbps. With it’s great versatility, it became the backbone of the digital music boom, powering early MP3 players, file-sharing networks, and online stores. It still remains one of the most widely supported audio formats worldwide.
